What We Believe


As an autonomous Southern Baptist church, we believe the Holy Bible is the sole authority for our faith and practice. In accordance with Scripture, we stand on the following basic beliefs:

  • We believe in the Holy Bible as the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God.

II Timothy 3:16; Psalms 12:6-7; Psalms 119:89

  • We believe in one God who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

I Corinthians 8:6; Malachi 2:10; Colossians 1:16-17

  • We believe in the triune God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I John 5:7-8; John 10:30; John 17:11

  • We believe Jesus Christ is the virgin-born Son of God and Savior of the world.

Isaiah 7:14; John 3:16; I John 2:2

  • We believe the Holy Spirit enlightens and indwells all born-again believers.

Revelation 22:17; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 2:12

  • We believe in Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross and in His bodily resurrection.

I Peter 1:19; Galatians 3:13; I Corinthians 15:4

  • We believe Jesus Christ will physically return to this earth at His appointed time.

Zechariah 12:10; I Thessalonians 5:2; Revelation 19:11

  • We believe man is born with a sinful nature and is in need of salvation.

Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8

  • We believe salvation is God’s free gift to all people who accept Jesus Christ by faith.

Romans 6:23; II Peter 3:9; Galatians 3:22

  • We believe salvation is accepted through an individual’s personal faith in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9

  • We believe in the eternal security of the believer in Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:1; Romans 8:35-39; Hebrews 10:10, 14

  • We believe the two church ordinances are Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
