Cindy Winters of Grace & Hope Ministries - at FBC Galatia on January 15, 2012

Cindy Winters, wife of the late Pastor Fred Winters, will be at FBC Galatia on Sunday, January 15th at 10:40am to share her testimony. Come join us for an uplifting service and experience how God brings His children through tragedy for His glory!

On March 8, 2009, Cindy’s husband, Pastor Fred Winters of the First Baptist Church in Maryville, IL was fatally shot while delivering his morning ser…mon. He had served as the pastor there for almost 23 years. Despite the shock and grief that Cindy and their two daughters, Alysia and Cassidy suffered, they found the goodness of God and peace in the midst of their tragedy. Prior to March 8, Cindy had served for 10 years as the Director of Pathways, an out-patient counseling ministry of the Baptist Children’s Home & Family Ser-vices. In July 2009, Cindy founded Grace and Hope Ministries, an outreach which encourages others to discover God’s grace through a personal relation-ship with Jesus Christ and find lasting hope regardless of tragedy or circum-stances experienced in live.
